Stone Age Day

In Year 4 our children have been immersing themselves through drama in their chosen English text - Odd and the Frost Giants by Neil Gaiman. They practised their fluency skills and it helped with their plans for a persuasive letter.

Yesterday the Year R children enjoyed the pantomime "Mother Goose!" Everyone laughed, cheered and sang along to the performance. We then had our lunch before heading to Winchester Library. We also listened to stories and then caught the number 3 bus back to school. An amazing school trip for our Year R children.

Year R have been focussing on the book - 'It was a cold dark night' where Ned the hedgehog is looking for a home. This week we made our own hedgehog bread, it was exciting watching he dough rise and we used our scissor skills to snip spikes into the rolls.
