    Volunteering at Weeke

At Weeke Primary School we value the contribution both parents and other members of the local community can bring to the whole child primary experience. With this in mind we welcome volunteers for a range of reasons.

We are currently managing a large number of volunteers in school for support with curriculum areas, reading with children and school trips. However, if you live in the local community and interested in supporting with our two school libraries, please contact the school office.

    • It creates opportunities for collaboration and networking, strengthening relationships between school stakeholders and promoting a positive school culture.

    4. Increased Resources and Opportunities:

    • Volunteers contribute resources, expertise, and time to support various school initiatives, such as fundraising events, extracurricular activities, and special projects.
    • They help to expand the range of opportunities available to pupils, such as participating in field trips, guest speaker presentations, and enrichment programs.

    5. Personal Fulfillment and Growth:

    • Volunteering in primary schools offers individuals the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and contribute to their education and development.
    • It provides volunteers with a sense of fulfillment, purpose, and satisfaction knowing that they are positively impacting their community and future generations.
    • Volunteers also gain valuable skills, experiences, and insights that can enhance their personal and professional growth, such as communication, leadership, teamwork, and empathy.

    6. Community Engagement and Collaboration:

    • Volunteering in primary schools encourages community members to actively engage with and support their local schools, fostering a sense of pride and investment in the community.
